Who is the Pike Cafe?

As one of the last true Mom and Pop restaurants in Berks County, the Pike Café has been under the ownership of Michael Pullano since 1985, in January of 2022 Michael decided to pass the the torch to new owners Danny DiStefano and Vince DiStefano, Berks County locals excited to carry out the same excellence that customers have come to expect. The Pike Café, which at one time was a pretzel store, a bakery, and then a corner bar in the 1940’s, has been transformed over the years by Michael into an amazing stand-out, locally owned restaurant and sport’s café. We are known county-wide (& beyond) as the local place to go for great food, friends, cocktails, and sports in an ever-increasing chain restaurant era.

After buying buildings all around the original Pike Café and tearing down a factory across the street, (Mary McIntosh for those that might remember), the Pike has its own 100-space, well-lit and monitored parking area just for you. We also have handicapped parking & access. Over the years we’ve grown into a restaurant spanning half a city block!! People are always pleasantly surprised when they come in for their first visit! Michael said if you build it they will come, and you have!

What was once a corner bar with steam tables serving lunch along with Dutch platters and deviled eggs, the Pike became the location of Berks County’s first Wing Night. Our loyal customer’s encouraged us to grow into the bar and restaurant that we are today, serving everything from nachos, Pike fries, daily homemade soups, sandwiches, to filet mignon, crab cakes, seafood and pasta specialties made daily. The chef’s daily specials are a must-try! No one leaves here hungry! To this day we are still the favorite in Berks for wings!

You’ll be seen here with the best at the Pike for lunch, Happy Hour, dinner, or late night dining. We like to call it fine dining in a casual atmosphere. And there’s no skimping on portions!!

With 60 flat screen TV’s showing every sports package and WiFi, there’s no better place to come to watch your favorite team! We are also the area’s favorite spot to dine or have drinks before or after a show or a game at one of our fine city venues.

Enjoy a cocktail, glass of wine, or one of our ever growing choices of specialty craft beers. With 32 taps, how can a person go wrong? A large specialty drink menu is available if you want to try something different, or try one of our fusion drinks, all infused in-house for your enjoyment!

Pleasing you pleases us and we thank all of our customers over the years and look forward to seeing many new faces in the future.
